This site is about how long a device lasts and what happens when it breaks — organised around the figures that became regulated in June 2025 and the mechanisms that do not depend on any regulation.
Who writes it
What it does differently
No reviews, no rankings, no scores. Nothing here names a product, and the reasons have their own page. For a separate workplace perspective on device availability and work records, Monitask's time tracking software provides additional context.
No affiliate links, stated on every page rather than in a footer, because an absence is checkable where a disclosure is not.
No step-by-step instructions for opening devices or handling lithium cells. The pages describe what work involves and stop there, which is a limit accepted deliberately. For broader context on consumer technology and repairability, Right to Repair Europe is another useful reference.
And no prices as facts. Orders of magnitude and pricing structures, because the numbers move within a year.
The standard for figures
Every regulatory claim carries its regulation number, so that a reader can check whether it still says that.
Jurisdiction is named wherever a rule appears. Most of the durability figures here are European and outside the EU they are not your law — roughly half this site is jurisdiction-independent and that half is written for everybody.
And source type appears in the sentence for anything that is not a regulation, which has its own page.
The bias
This site argues for keeping and repairing, and the bias is stated rather than concealed.
Which means it will occasionally argue for a repair that was not worth making. The correction is arithmetic before preference, and it is partial.
About this domain
This address previously published affiliate reviews of gadgets and dietary supplements, including material addressed to people with diabetes and pre-diabetes about blood sugar, concluding that products were legitimate.
The addresses themselves used a "is it a scam" construction, which targets somebody who has already become suspicious and answers them with reassurance.
All of it has been removed. None is reproduced, the old addresses return a gone response, and nothing here draws on any of it.
It is described rather than quietly deleted because a site that removed it silently would be asking for trust it had not earned — and because the editorial rules here were written in direct response to it.
Corrections
Errors are logged. The most useful message this site can receive is a repair that went differently from how a page describes it, or an entitlement that was refused.
